Windows Vista broke sales records
Bill Gates announced that Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows Vista, broke all sales records by selling almost 40 million licenses worldwide. Gates confirmed that the amount doubles when Windows XP was launched.
Windows Vista was launched last January 30 and it’s the mayor update done by Microsoft in the last five years. Among Vista’s main features are that it can handle a larger number of applications, images transfer and remote control of local resources.
He also announced that new server’s generation, AKA Longhorn, would be known as Windows Server 2008 and should be available sometime in the middle of this year. Windows operating systems run in over 95 percent of the PCs worldwide and are the backbone of the company.
