Continuing with its on-going reorganization effort Yahoo will end its online auction service for North America in June 2007. Yahoo intention to focus on more profitable endeavors as it tries to snap out of a financial depression.
Auctions in USA and Canada will end mid-June, although some tools will remain accessible until the end of October. This measure does not impact auctions in Hong Kong, Singapore or Taiwan.
It’d be a sad day for consumers that are left with just a hand full of auction options but a great gain for eBay; whom would be picking up most of the business.
